New Judge Appointed to the Ontario Court Of Justice

The Honourable Caroline Mulroney, Attorney General for Ontario, has announced the appointment of a new judge to the Ontario Court of Justice, effective February 13, 2019.Justice Krista Lynn Leszczynski was called to the bar in 2002. For the past eight years she has worked as an assistant Crown attorney and as the Crown representative on local court committees, including those responsible for developing a therapeutic court and an Indigenous Persons Court. Prior to that, Justice Leszczynski practiced family law and civil litigation as an associate lawyer at Benoit, Van Raay, Spisani, Fuerth and Quaglia in Chatham, Ontario.Justice Leszczynski has served on the board of directors and for the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Centre in Lambton County. For over six years, she served as president and vice-president of the board of directors for Chatham-Kent Children’s Services. A frequent speaker in the legal community, Justice Leszczynski has also presented to numerous elementary and high schools on career options and other legal topics.Chief Justice Lise Maisonneuve has assigned Justice Leszczynski to preside in Sarnia.Additional Resources
