Public Meeting / Round table Nain Wind Micro-Grid Project

October 17, at 1:30pm in Illusuak and 7pm in the main NG boardroom
Come learn more about the planned wind turbine development in Nain and share your views about the project and knowledge of the site and the surrounding environment, as well as any potential impacts. Both the proponent and the environmental review team will be present to answer questions and gather comments.
Led by Natural Forces and the Nunatsiavut Secretariat (the Proponent), the Nain Wind Micro-Grid Project is a plan to build wind turbine(s), battery storage and associated infrastructure in Nain to reduce diesel reliance for electricity generation.
During the consultation period you can also submit comments to your Community Liaison Officer at the Nunatsiavut Government Office in your community, or send them via email to environmentalreviews@nunatsiavut.com, until October 26. Please note that comments received in writing will be made publicly available.
