QIA Board of Directors Meeting Begins Tomorrow

Iqaluit, Nunavut – March 2, 2026 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) Board of Directors meeting begins tomorrow in Iqaluit and will be open to the public from March 3-6, 2026 at the Aqsarniit Hotel and Conference Centre.

The Board will review key organizational priorities, including a proposed Cost of Living Adjustment and approval of the 2026–2027 budget. Directors will also consider the establishment of a formal Infrastructure Operational Sustainability Fund procedure and updates to the Human Resources Manual.

Program updates will include Q-STEP, Community Resources and Opportunities Funding, progress on the Qikiqtani Truth Commission Recommendations, Affordable Housing initiatives, the Nauttiqsuqtiit Operations Guide, and an allocation proposal for the Hunters Support Grant.

Presentations will be delivered by Qikiqtaaluk Corporation and Kakivak Association. The Board will also consider appointments and nominations to various boards and committees.
