Qikiqtani Inuit Association Official List of Candidates

Iqaluit, Nunavut – March 30, 2026 – Notice is hereby given to the Members of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) of the Official List of Candidates for the Community Director in Kinngait.

The period for withdrawals or contestations of nominations, based on the release of the unofficial list of candidates on March 27, 2026 has now closed.

The Official Candidates for election are:

– Ejesiak Z Ejesiak
– Peter Derek Ottokie

The position will fill the remaining term ending in December 2028.

To be eligible to vote you must be an Inuk enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement, be at least 16 years old on April 20, 2026 and have regularly resided in Kinngait for one year.
