Staff have been without new contract for more than a year
After months of negotiations and more than a year since the previous agreement expired, Qulliq Energy Corporation and the Nunavut Employee Union have come to a tentative settlement.
The deal, which was reached on May 13, has not yet been ratified.
Nunavut Employee Union issued a joint news release with Qulliq Energy Corp. on Friday announcing the update. Members from Public Service Alliance of Canada were also involved in negotiations, said Nunavut Employee Union president Jason Rochon.
