Proceedings adjourned until Sept. 29; incident last year resulted in death of Noah Paniyuk

Qulliq Energy Corp. made a brief appearance in Iqaluit court Monday to face several charges under the territory’s Safety Act.

The charges are in connection to an incident at Naujaat power plant last July that resulted in the death of QEC employee Noah Paniyuk.

John D. Cliffe appeared virtually in court, acting as an agent for the Nunavut government.
