After 2-year moratorium ends, province auctions off thousands of acres
Saskatchewan’s Ministry of Agriculture has ended a two-year moratorium on selling Crown land.
A major auction company’s website currently lists 18 parcels of publicly owned land for sale, a total of 4,471 acres. The land is primarily in use by leaseholders for agricultural purposes. Some of it has conservation easements, meant to protect ecologically sensitive areas.
