The province is projected to see a 29-per-cent decrease in positions from its 2014 number
Oil and gas is expected to take a hit this year, and the Saskatchewan market is no exception.
Up to 185,000 job losses are predicted in a new report from the Petroleum Labour Market Information division of Enform, which is a safety association for the petroleum industry.
While Alberta is expected to experience the biggest impact with 68 per cent of total losses across Canada, Saskatchewan could see a 29-per-cent decrease from its 2014 number.
That adds up to 11,982 anticipated job losses in the province, or 6 per cent of total losses nationwide.
