Significant Progress on Iron Ore Mine Expected – VOCM

Significant progress on a multi-billion dollar iron ore mine for Labrador West is expected to be announced over the next couple of months.

Alderon Iron Ore Corporation is moving full speed ahead with its 1.5-Billion dollar mine near Labrador City-Wabush. The project is surrounded by four producing mines.

Alderon President, Tayfun Eldem, says there will be news in the near future involving deals on power, financing for the project, imminent release of the environmental assessment and ongoing talks with aboriginal stakeholders.

Eldem says the mine is going to be built on budget and on schedule with production set for the end of 2015.
