Talks on establishing a trade corridor ongoing with Indigenous nations in U.S., Mexico
Next week Standing Buffalo Dakota Nation in Saskatchewan will sign a memorandum of understanding with the Fort Peck Sioux Tribes community in the U.S to build a trade corridor system.
The corridor would use traditional trade routes through the Dakota tribes’ territories in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba and into the U.S.
“That was the wealth of our nation; historically we had that,” said Standing Buffalo Chief Roger Redman.
