Lynne Groulx is the CEO of the Native Women’s Association of Canada. Since joining in 2017, the organization has grown from less than twenty to more than 80 employees and has expanded member associations across the nation from coast to coast to coast. We are in a time of increased pressure on the federal government for meaningful steps in addressing violence against indigenous women and girls.
Today, we speak to Lynne about NWAC’s focus as we head into Canada’s 44th Federal Election.
As CEO, Ms. Groulx brings to the position her passion and expertise on Indigenous women’s rights, gender equality, human rights, and economic development, as well as a legal background in civil and common law and with a specialization in corporate law, social justice, and Indigenous Legal Traditions and customary laws.
