Ontario Creating Jobs, Strengthening Northern Economy

Ontario is helping to build a stronger, more diverse northern economy while creating jobs in the Kenora-Rainy River area.
With $5.1 million in support from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC), eight projects in the Kenora-Rainy River region are boosting the regional economy, and creating more than 96 new jobs. Projects include:
Supporting business expansion and community development is part of the government’s economic plan that is creating jobs for today and tomorrow. The comprehensive plan and its six priorities focus on Ontario’s greatest strengths — its people and strategic partnerships.
