Technica Mining recently hosted Electrifying the Future Summer Camp, an immersive educational experience for young minds, a program created by the Goodman School of Mines at Laurentian University. Over the course of two weeks, approximately 440 students between the ages of 9 and 14 had the opportunity to explore the world of mining and gain valuable insights into the industry. Technica Mining’s dedicated team provided the student groups with a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in mining metals in and around the Sudbury area. They also delved into the future of mining, showcasing how Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) can support mining operations at great depths. The informative presentations not only highlighted the importance of sustainable mining practices but also outlined the diverse career paths available within the mining sector. By emphasizing how different educational backgrounds contribute to operating a successful mining operation, Technica Mining inspired the students to envision their future roles in the industry.

The Electrifying the Future Summer Camp was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the participants.
