Some teenage Aboriginal business hopefuls are getting a crash course at First Nations University this week.
“It’s giving them something to look forward to in their future. You know, opening up their eyes and hopefully they can see in themselves what we see in them,” said Annie Charles, Aboriginal Youth Entrepreneurship Camp coordinator.
Joshua Hill brought his business idea from Onion Lake First Nation.
“On both sides of my family, there was a medicine man and a medicine woman and they passed down certain remedies,” said Hill.
His plan is to sell medicinal teas that soothe illnesses such as colds — without the heavy chemicals that are present in some remedies.
