Consumer Price Index, March 2016
The Consumer Price Index rose 1.3% in the 12 months to March, after increasing 1.4% in February. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index increased 0.2% in March, following a 0.2% decrease in February.
Retail trade, February 2016
Retail sales rose for the second consecutive month, advancing 0.4% to $44.2 billion in February. Gains were reported in 9 of 11 subsectors, representing 89% of total retail trade.
Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, February 2016
Natural gas transmission pipelines received 510.4 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and gas plants in February.
Large urban transit, February 2016
Total operating revenues (excluding subsidies) for 10 of Canada’s largest urban transit systems increased 0.1% year over year in February to $279.3 million.
