Wholesale trade: Advance indicator, March 2026
Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector. The advance results for March indicate that wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) rose 1.3%. The increase partly reflects higher sales in the machinery, equipment and supplies subsector.
Trade in goods by exporter characteristics, 2025
The number of Canadian enterprises exporting goods edged down by 0.2% to 47,948 in 2025. A slight decline (-0.3%) in the number of small and medium-sized enterprises that exported was partially offset by growth (+2.7%) in large exporting enterprises.
