Consumer Price Index, July 2016
The Consumer Price Index rose 1.3% in the 12 months to July, after increasing 1.5% in June. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index posted no change, following a 0.2% gain in June.
Retail trade, June 2016
Retail sales edged down 0.1% to $44.1 billion in June. Sales declined in 7 of 11 subsectors, representing 54% of retail trade.
Pipeline transportation of oil and other liquid petroleum products, June 2016
Pipeline throughput increased in June. This followed marked declines in May, caused by the wildfire in northern Alberta, and lower levels in April, which resulted from maintenance at oil sands facilities and a pipeline shutdown.
