Labour Force Survey, July 2025
Employment fell by 41,000 (-0.2%) in July and the employment rate declined 0.2 percentage points to 60.7%. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 6.9%.
Retail Commodity Survey, May 2025
Retail sales reached $76.5 billion in May, an increase of 4.4% compared with the same month one year earlier. Higher sales were recorded in 16 of the 18 commodity classes.
Industrial chemicals and synthetic resins, 2024
In 2024, the highest production levels for industrial chemicals were recorded for ethylene (5.4 million tonnes, up 5.1% from 2023), anhydrous ammonia (4.7 million tonnes, down 1.2%) and urea (4.1 million tonnes, down 1.1%).
Residential Renovation Price Index, second quarter 2025
In the second quarter, residential renovation costs increased 0.9%, following a 0.3% increase in the first quarter.
