Canada’s international transactions in securities, October 2022
Foreign investors acquired $8.5 billion of Canadian securities in October, following a significant divestment of $22.5 billion in September. Meanwhile, Canadian investors reduced their holdings of foreign securities by $1.7 billion, after buying $10.4 billion in September.
Wholesale trade, October 2022
Wholesale sales rose 2.1% to $83.4 billion in October. The largest increases were in the miscellaneous goods, the building material and supplies, and the personal and household goods subsectors.
New Housing Price Index, November 2022
New home prices in Canada declined 0.2% month over month in November, recording a negative movement for the third consecutive month. Prices were unchanged in 19 of the 27 census metropolitan areas (CMAs) surveyed, down in 7, and up in the remaining 1.
