Consumer Price Index, January 2017
The Consumer Price Index rose 2.1% on a year-over-year basis in January, following a 1.5% increase in December. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index was up 0.7% in January, after increasing 0.4% in December.
Computer and peripherals price indexes, January 2017
The price of desktop and similar computers, laptop and tablet computers, and servers decreased 0.3% in January.

The Commercial Software Price Index (CSPI) declined 0.3% in January compared with the previous month.
Registered retirement savings plan contributions, 2015
Contributions to registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs) totalled $39.2 billion in 2015, up 1.5% from 2014. Data are based on tax returns filed for 2015.
Investment income, 2015
The number of Canadian taxfilers reporting investment income was down in 2015, while the actual amount of investment income rose. Investment income refers to the sum of dividend income from taxable Canadian corporations and interest income from investments in non-tax-sheltered vehicles.
