The most recent population estimates point to the continued rapid aging of the Canadian population.
Travel arrangement services, 2017
Operating revenue in the travel arrangement and reservation services industry group rose 3.2% from 2016 to $13.7 billion in 2017. Tour operators (68.4%) accounted for the largest share of revenue.
Periodical publishing, 2017
The periodical publishing industry reported $1.3 billion in total operating revenue in 2017, down $284.0 million from 2015.
Farm Input Price Index, third quarter 2018
The Farm Input Price Index rose 1.0% in the third quarter.

The Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing Services Price Index decreased 0.1% in the third quarter, following a 0.9% increase in the second quarter.
Dairy statistics, November 2018
The total amount of milk sold off farms decreased 0.5% year over year to 736 084 kilolitres in November. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes increased 0.6% to 241 543 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes decreased 1.0% to 494 541 kilolitres.
Coal and coke statistics, November 2018
Coal production decreased 1.3% year over year to 4.7 million tonnes in November.

Modernizing to reduce response burden
In the past year, Statistics Canada has adopted an ambitious modernization initiative to respond to issues raised by Canadians through extensive coast-to-coast consultations. As part of the initiative, the agency has developed a number of new projects with the aim of reducing the response burden placed on the farms, small businesses and households that participate in the agency’s surveys.
