Labour Force Survey, December 2022
Employment rose by 104,000 (+0.5%) in December, and the unemployment rate declined 0.1 percentage points to 5.0%, just above the record low of 4.9% reached in June and July.
National tourism indicators, third quarter 2022
Tourism spending in Canada grew 3.2% in the third quarter, a sixth consecutive quarterly increase. Tourism gross domestic product (+4.2%) and jobs attributable to tourism (+3.7%) also rose in the third quarter.
