Survey of Non-Bank Mortgage Lenders, fourth quarter 2018
For the first time, Statistics Canada is publishing data from the quarterly Survey of Non-Bank Mortgage Lenders. These lenders held 1.7 million residential mortgages in the fourth quarter of 2018, two-thirds of which were uninsured.
New Lending Services Price Index, first quarter 2019
The New Lending Services Price Index (NLSPI) increased by 7.0% in the first quarter, following a 3.3% increase in the previous quarter.
Quarterly Retail Commodity Survey, first quarter 2019
Retail sales in Canada reached $131.1 billion in the first quarter, up 1.8% from the same quarter of 2018. Sales were up in 13 commodity groupings for the first quarter of 2019.
Retail Commodity Survey, April 2019
Monthly data from the Retail Commodity Survey are now available for April. The survey collects detailed information about retail commodity sales in Canada to produce estimates of the distribution of sales of various commodities at the national level.
