Labour Force Survey, June 2018
After two consecutive months of little change, employment rose by 32,000 in June. With more people searching for work, the unemployment rate increased by 0.2 percentage points to 6.0%.
Canadian international merchandise trade, May 2018
Canada’s merchandise trade deficit with the world totalled $2.8 billion in May, widening from a $1.9 billion deficit in April. Imports rose 1.7% while exports edged down 0.1%.
Chain Fisher real export and import values, May 2018
The monthly chain Fisher real dollar values (reference year 2007) for Canadian international merchandise trade are available for May.
Export and import price indexes, May 2018
Current-weighted and fixed-weighted export and import price indexes (2007=100) on a customs or balance of payments basis are now available, based on the 2007 North American Product Classification System.
StatsCannabis data availability: Crowdsourced cannabis prices, second quarter 2018
Cannabis prices have remained unchanged in the first two quarters. The average price in the second quarter was $6.74 per gram, down slightly from the first quarter ($6.78 per gram). Combining StatsCannabis submissions with data obtained from the priceofweed.com website indicate that the price of cannabis has been trending downward since 2012. In 2018, the average price for cannabis was $6.77 per gram, down 25% from 2012 when the average price was $9.09 per gram.
Farm product prices, May 2018
Prices received by farmers in May for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, potatoes, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available at the provincial level.
