Employment rose by 231,000 (+1.2%) in June, following a cumulative decline of 275,000 over the previous two months.
COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Survey
Almost half of adults residing in the provinces (45.3%) had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine by mid-May 2021 and 3.8% were fully vaccinated, having received their second dose. The vast majority (90.5%) of those who had not yet been vaccinated intended to do so.

An updated set of preliminary data on the number of confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases reported by provincial and territorial public health authorities to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is now available. Along with this dataset are two aggregated tables that summarize the information available in the dataset. The updated information covers the period from January 15, 2020 to July 4, 2021.
Sawmills, April 2021
Lumber production by sawmills decreased 8.2% from March to 5 170.3 thousand cubic metres in April. Production was 45.4% higher than in April 2020.
