Consumer Price Index, February 2016
The Consumer Price Index rose 1.4% in the 12 months to February, after increasing 2.0% in January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index decreased 0.2% in February, following a 0.2% increase in January.
Retail trade, January 2016
Retail sales rose 2.1% to $44.2 billion in January, led by five subsectors that rebounded from lower sales in December. Gains were reported in 7 of 11 subsectors, representing 82% of total retail sales.
Survey of Advanced Technology: Innovation and business practices, 2014
Over half (54.8%) of the enterprises surveyed were innovative from 2012 to 2014. That is, they introduced at least one type of innovation, according to data from the 2014 Survey of Advanced Technology.
Households and the Environment Survey: Energy use, 2013
Canadian households consumed 1.4 million terajoules of energy in their homes in 2013, up 7.2% from 2011. On average, the amount of energy consumed per household edged up from 93.3 gigajoules in 2011 to 97.5 gigajoules in 2013.
Wool disposition and farm value, 2014
The volume of raw wool purchased directly from Canadian producers rose 2.1% from 2013 to 1.2 million kilograms in 2014. The average price paid for wool to Canadian producers in 2014 was $1.36 per kilogram.
Job vacancies in 2011: Results of the Workplace Survey, 2011
The 2011 Workplace Survey is a pilot survey that was conducted in collaboration with Employment and Social Development Canada. According to the survey, there were 392,500 job vacancies in December 2011.
