Gross domestic product by industry, January 2019
Real gross domestic product expanded 0.3% in January, fully offsetting the declines in November and December 2018. The rise was widespread as 18 of 20 industrial sectors were up.
Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, February 2019
The Industrial Product Price Index rose 0.3% in February, mainly due to higher prices for energy and petroleum products. The Raw Materials Price Index increased 4.6%, primarily due to higher prices for crude energy products.
For-hire Motor Carrier Freight Services Price Index, fourth quarter 2018
The For-hire Motor Carrier Freight Services Price Index increased for the 10th consecutive quarter, rising 1.0% in the fourth quarter following a 1.6% gain in the third quarter.
Couriers and Messengers Services Price Index, February 2019
The Couriers and Messengers Services Price Index (CMSPI) was unchanged in February, following a 1.3% increase in January.
Farm operating revenues and expenses, 2017 (revised data)
Average operating revenues per farm in Canada totalled $479,226 in 2017, while average operating expenses were $391,218, according to taxation records. As a result, average net operating income was $88,008.
Sound recording and music publishing, 2017
The Canadian sound recording and music publishing industry posted strong growth in 2017, with total operating revenues increasing by $186.7 million (+21.1%) from 2015 to $1.1 billion. Over the same period, total operating expenses rose by $164.9 million (+20.6%). As growth in revenues outpaced growth in expenses, the industry operating profit margin edged up from 9.7% in 2015 to 10.0% in 2017.
