Canada’s international transactions in securities, March 2020
Canadian investors reduced their holdings of foreign securities by $42.2 billion in March, led by a record divestment in US shares. Meanwhile, foreign investors reduced their holdings of Canadian securities by $9.8 billion, following a $19.4 billion investment in February.

Rail transportation, 2018
Canadian railways reported record operating revenues of $16.3 billion in 2018, up 9.6% from 2017. The increase was driven by freight movements, which accounted for 91.6% of overall operating revenues, while the remaining 8.4% was from passenger and other operating revenues.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, Canada and United States, 2019
Canadian millers milled 3 200 664 tonnes of wheat in 2019, up 0.3% from 2018, while total flour produced grew to 2 451 268 tonnes, an increase of 1.9% compared with the previous year.
Safe cities: Key indicators by census metropolitan area

Life in Canada has changed since March 2020; however, the information provided in these profiles serves as a reference to understand and contextualize community safety before COVID-19.
Impact of COVID-19 on youth
Canada’s youth represent about one-quarter of the country’s population and they are highly diverse. Youth are more educated than ever and more socially connected online than any other generation. Yet, some youth face challenges, such as finding a full-time job, social exclusion, and mental health challenges.

A revised set of preliminary data on the number of confirmed novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases reported by the provincial and territorial health authorities to the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is now available. The set covers the period from January 15 to May 13, 2020.
