Retail trade, March 2021
Retail sales were up 3.6% to $57.6 billion in March, led by higher sales at building material and garden equipment and supplies dealers, and clothing and clothing accessories stores.
Wholesale trade: Early indicator, April 2021
Given the rapidly evolving economic situation, Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector for April. The advance results for April indicate that wholesale sales fell 0.8%. The decrease reflects lower sales in the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector.
