Canada’s international transactions in securities, September 2022
Non-resident investors reduced their exposure to Canadian securities by $22.3 billion in September, mainly in the form of federal government debt securities and Canadian shares. Meanwhile, Canadian investors acquired $9.6 billion of foreign securities, led by an unprecedented investment in foreign bonds.
Monthly credit aggregates, September 2022
The total credit liabilities of households (including mortgage and non-mortgage loan debt) increased $9.0 billion (+0.3%) to reach $2,787.6 billion in September. Real estate secured debt, composed of both mortgage debt and home equity lines of credit, rose $7.7 billion (+0.3%) to reach $2,237.0 billion.
Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, October 2022
The Industrial Product Price Index rose 2.4% on a monthly basis in October, and increased 10.1% year over year. The Raw Materials Price Index increased 1.3% on a monthly basis in October, and posted a 9.0% year-over-year increase.
Quarterly civil aviation statistics, second quarter 2022
Operating revenue for the 24 largest Canadian air carriers totalled $6.0 billion in the second quarter of 2022, well above that in the same quarter of 2021 and approaching (86.3%) that generated in the second quarter of 2019.
End use of refined petroleum products, 2021 (final)
Total sales of refined petroleum products to end-users stood at 84.4 million cubic metres in 2021, an increase of 4.6% compared with sales in 2020.
Secondary distributors of refined petroleum products, 2021 (final)
Secondary distributors of refined petroleum products sold 23.9 billion litres in Canada in 2021, up 1.3% from 2020. The refined petroleum products sold included motor gasoline (51.0%), diesel fuel oil (42.0%), light fuel oil (4.7%), and heavy fuel oil (2.3%).
