Investment in non-residential building construction, third quarter 2016
Investment in non-residential building construction totalled $12.5 billion in the third quarter, down 0.5% from the previous quarter. This was the sixth decrease in seven quarters dating back to the first quarter of 2015. The decline in the third quarter reflected lower spending on commercial and industrial building construction.
Supply and disposition of refined petroleum products, July 2016
Canadian refineries received 8.8 million cubic metres of crude oil in July, up 1.6% from the same month in 2015. The year-over-year increase in July was the first since the Alberta wildfire in May.
Crude oil and natural gas: Supply and disposition, July 2016
Canada produced 19.0 million cubic metres (119.2 million barrels) of crude oil and equivalent products in July, down 3.8% compared with the same month in 2015.
New Lending Services Price Index, second quarter 2016
The New Lending Services Price Index decreased 0.9% in the second quarter, following a 2.9% increase in the first quarter. Yields on Government of Canada securities rose in the second quarter, while lending rates fell. Variable-rate loans to businesses contributed the most to the decline in the index.
Aircraft movement statistics: Small airports, June 2016
In June, take-offs and landings at 114 Canadian airports without air traffic control towers totalled 62,718 movements.
