Consumer Price Index, September 2016
The Consumer Price Index rose 1.3% on a year-over-year basis in September, following a 1.1% increase in August. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index was up 0.2% in September, after decreasing 0.1% in August.
Retail trade, August 2016
Retail sales edged down 0.1% to $44.0 billion in August. Lower sales at motor vehicle and parts dealers, and general merchandise stores were the main contributors to the decline. Excluding these two subsectors, retail sales were up 0.2%.
Investment in new housing construction, August 2016
Total investment in new housing construction rose 2.4% year over year to $4.7 billion in August.

Provisional estimates for the Natural Resources Satellite Account (NRSA), for the years 2007 to 2015, are now available.
Refined petroleum products, September 2016
Data on the production, inventories and domestic sales of refined petroleum products for Canada and the regions are now available for September upon request.
