The Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing Services Price Index increased 0.6% in the second quarter, following a 0.1% rise in the first quarter.
Computers, peripherals and software price indexes, September 2019
Purchasers paid less for smartphones, computers and software in September than in the previous month. Overall, peripheral prices were unchanged for the second consecutive month.
Production and disposition of tobacco products, September 2019
Canadian manufacturers produced 1.9 billion cigarettes in September, up 37.0% from August. Cigarette production increased 14.5% compared with September 2018.
Oilseed crushing statistics, September 2019
Oilseed processors crushed 767 666 tonnes of canola in September. Oil production totalled 335 473 tonnes, while meal production totalled 433 659 tonnes.
