Labour Force Survey, September 2016
Employment rose by 67,000 (+0.4%) in September, with most of the increase in part-time work. The unemployment rate was unchanged at 7.0%, as more people participated in the labour market.
Oil and gas extraction, 2015
The oil and gas extraction industry recorded an overall downturn in 2015, which was largely attributable to a continued decline in the prices of crude oil and natural gas.
