Consumer Price Index, August 2017

The Consumer Price Index rose 1.4% on a year-over-year basis in August, following a 1.2% increase in July. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the Consumer Price Index was up 0.2% in August, matching the increase in July.

Architectural, Engineering and Related Services Price Index, second quarter 2017

The Architectural, Engineering and Related Services Price Index (AESPI) rose by 0.4% in the second quarter, following a 0.1% increase in the first quarter.

Retail trade, July 2017

Retail sales rose 0.4% to $49.1 billion in July. Higher sales at motor vehicle and parts dealers and food and beverage stores were the main contributors to the gain.

Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, July 2017

Natural gas transmission pipelines received 536.8 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and plants in July, up 3.2% from the same month in 2016. Six provinces posted receipts, with Alberta (75.1%) and British Columbia (22.5%) holding the majority.
