Production of principal field crops, July 2020
Canadian farmers are projected to harvest more wheat, corn for grain, barley and oats this fall compared with last year, but less canola and soybeans, according to recent yield models using satellite technology.
Poultry and egg statistics, August 2020
Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats, as well as edible dried egg products, are available for August. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for July. Data on egg production are available for June.
Building permits, July 2020
The total value of building permits fell 3.0% to $7.8 billion in July, mainly as a result of declines in British Columbia and Quebec. The value of permits rose in most other provinces and territories—led by a $474 million commercial permit issued in the city of Ottawa for the construction of Project Python.
Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, July 2020
The Industrial Product Price Index rose 0.7% in July, driven primarily by higher prices for energy and petroleum products and primary non-ferrous metal products. The Raw Materials Price Index increased 3.0%, mainly as a result of higher prices for crude energy products.

Urban public transit, June 2020
The impact of the pandemic continued to weigh heavily on the country’s bus, train and subway activity in June. On a year-over-year basis, the number of transit passengers in June fell 74.6% to 37.9 million passenger trips. A significant annual decline has been observed every month since March.
