Energy statistics, May 2022
An array of factors continued to impact the Canadian energy sector. In May, annual spring maintenance at several energy producing facilities continued while other facilities began to ramp up production following the completion of that maintenance work.
Canadian Tourism Activity Tracker, May 2022
In May, overall tourism activity in Canada was 21.2% below the level reached in May 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic. Tourism activity has steadily improved from May 2021, except for a temporary pause in January 2022 due to the Omicron variant and renewed COVID-19 restrictions.
Farm product prices, June 2022
Monthly provincial prices received by farmers in June 2022 for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available.
Poultry and egg statistics, July 2022
Data on stocks of frozen eggs and poultry meats, as well as edible dried egg products, are now available for July. Data on the placements of hatchery chicks and turkey poults are available for June 2022, and data on egg production are available for May 2022.
Retail Commodity Survey, May 2022
Retail sales reached $67.8 billion in May, an increase of 15.3% compared with the same month in 2021. Higher sales were reported in 17 of the 18 commodity classes.
Electric Power Selling Price Index, June 2022
The Electric Power Selling Price Index (2014=100) is now available for June 2022.
