Job vacancies, third quarter 2022
Employers in Canada were actively seeking to fill 959,600 vacant positions in the third quarter, down 3.3% from the record high reached in the second quarter (992,200).
Industrial product and raw materials price indexes, November 2022
The Industrial Product Price Index declined 0.4% month over month in November and was 9.7% higher than in November 2021. The Raw Materials Price Index fell 0.8% on a monthly basis in November 2022 and increased 8.0% year over year.
Environmental and Clean Technology Products Economic Account, 2021
The real gross domestic product (GDP) generated by the environmental and clean technology products sector increased slightly in 2021, a 0.8% gain from 2020, following a 2.9% decline in 2020 from 2019. The real GDP of the total Canadian economy grew 5.0% in 2021.

In 2019, total water use in Canada reached 36.1 billion cubic metres, a slight decrease of 0.5 billion cubic metres from 2017 levels. Industrial water use totalled 33.1 billion cubic metres (91.7% of the total) in 2019, which is a decrease of 1.7% compared with 2017. In comparison, economic growth was 4.9%, as measured by gross domestic product (GDP) from 2017 to 2019.
Logging, 2021
Total revenue from all logging activities increased 16.3% (+$1.7 billion) from 2020 to $11.9 billion in 2021. The logging industry consists of two sub-industries: logging (except contract) and contract logging. Overall, total revenue was split almost equally between the two sub-industries, logging (except contract) contributed 52% ($6.2 billion), while contract logging contributed 48% ($5.7 billion).
