Wholesale trade: Early indicator, November 2020
Given the rapidly evolving economic situation, Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale sector for the month of November. The advance results for November indicate that wholesale sales rose 1.0%. The increase reflects widespread growth, particularly in the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories, and the building material and supplies subsectors.

The advertising and related services industry generated $11.1 billion in operating revenue in 2019, up 3.1% from 2018. Operating expenses grew at a higher rate (+3.6%), leading to a decline in the industry’s operating profit margin, to 14.2%.
Dairy statistics, October 2020
The total amount of milk sold off farms increased 1.7% year over year to 789 062 kilolitres in October. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes decreased 2.8% to 235 585 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes increased 3.7% year over year to 553 477 kilolitres.
