Oil Pipeline Transport Survey, 2014
Canadian oil pipeline companies reported total operating revenues of $5.3 billion in 2014, up 10.7% from 2013, while total operating expenses rose 3.7% to $2.4 billion. As a result, total net income after taxes increased by 13.8% to $1.7 billion.
Natural gas transport and distribution systems, 2014
Canadian natural gas transport and distribution companies reported total operating revenues of $17.5 billion in 2014, up 9.4% from 2013, while total operating expenses rose 12.8% to $14.2 billion. As a result, net revenue from operations decreased 3.3% to $3.3 billion. As well, net income after taxes declined 59.9% to $978.9 million, mainly because of income deductions.
