Study: Long commutes to work by car
Commuting is a fact of life for many Canadians. In 2016, 12.6 million Canadians reported that they commuted to work by car. For these commuters, the average duration of the commute was 24 minutes, and the median distance to work among those who had a usual workplace was 8.7 kilometres.

The number of research and development (R&D) personnel in Canada fell by 8.8% in 2016 to 229,790 full-time equivalents (FTE). The decline was across all sectors, with the exception of higher education, where there was a slight increase of 510 FTE.

Dairy statistics, December 2018
The total amount of milk sold off farms rose 0.1% year over year to 769 514 kilolitres in December. Meanwhile, milk sold off farms for fluid purposes decreased 3.2% to 238 659 kilolitres. Milk sold off farms for industrial purposes increased 1.6% to 530 855 kilolitres.
