Wholesale trade, November 2017
Wholesale sales rose 0.7% to $63.6 billion in November, a second consecutive increase. Sales were up in six of seven subsectors, representing 99% of wholesale sales.
Investment in new housing construction, November 2017
New housing construction investment rose 7.9% from November 2016 to $5.0 billion in November, mostly attributable to increased construction investment in apartment buildings (+$282.1 million).
Food services and drinking places, November 2017
Sales in the food services and drinking places subsector edged down 0.2% to $5.8 billion in November. Prices for food purchased from restaurants were up 2.9% in the 12 months to November and prices for alcoholic beverages rose 1.4% over the same period.
