Fertility and intentions: Socioeconomic factors
Using data from the 2024 Survey on Family Transitions, this release first examines the proportion of Canadian women of childbearing age, that is, women aged 20 to 49 years who do not have children, and then examines their fertility intentions. It also highlights certain sociodemographic characteristics associated with having no children and with fertility intentions.
Railway carloadings, November 2025
In November, the volume of cargo carried by Canadian railways was up slightly (+0.5%) from November 2024 to 31.4 million tonnes. Higher volumes of intermodal shipments (mainly containers) as well as higher carloadings of wheat largely contributed to the increase in November 2025.

Labour Force Survey: Revisions, 2023 to 2025
As is the standard practice, seasonally adjusted Labour Force Survey estimates for the previous three years have been revised using the latest seasonal factors. These revised estimates for 2023 to 2025 are now available on the Statistics Canada website.
