Monthly Survey of Manufacturing, April 2021
Manufacturing sales declined 2.1% in April, following a 4.0% increase in March. The decline was largely attributable to the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts industries, which reduced or shut down production because of the ongoing shortage of semiconductor chips.
Study: Canadian Crude Oil Exports: A 30-Year Review
The new study, Canadian Crude Oil Exports: A 30-Year Review, a collaborative analytical report by Statistics Canada and the Canada Energy Regulator (CER), is now available. Statistics Canada and the CER have combined their expertise to put together this retrospective of the evolution of crude oil exports in Canada for the period of 1999 to 2019, as well as preliminary results for 2020.
