Monthly Survey of Manufacturing, April 2026
Manufacturing sales increased 4.2% in April, mainly driven by increased sales of petroleum and coal as well as food products. Meanwhile, sales in the primary metal subsector posted the largest decline.
Wholesale trade, April 2026
Wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) rose 0.6% in April.
Consumer Price Index: New basket weights, 2025
Updated basket weights for the goods and services in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), representing consumer spending patterns in 2025, are now available. The 2025 basket will combine expenditure data from the Household Final Consumption Expenditures, the Survey of Household Spending and alternative data sources to account for shifts in spending.
