Natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, December 2018
Natural gas transmission pipelines received 601.0 million gigajoules of natural gas from fields, gathering systems and plants in December, up 2.1% from the same month in 2017. The vast majority of receipts were in Alberta (67.8%) and British Columbia (30.2%).

Pipelines in Canada received 23.4 million cubic metres of crude oil and equivalent products from fields and plants in December, up 2.5% compared with the same month in 2017. The vast majority of these receipts (87.7%) originated in Alberta. Receipts from fields and plants in December was at its highest level since this series began in January 2016.

Lumber production fell 18.4% from November to 4 319.2 thousand cubic metres in December. Production was 10.8% lower than in December 2017.

Data for 2016 (revised) and 2017 on the value of products manufactured and raw materials purchased and used by the manufacturing industry as a whole, are now available upon request for Canada, the provinces and territories. In addition, data collected under the supplementary content for lumber and wood products (raw materials and finished products) for 2016 (revised) and 2017 are available upon request at the provincial and national levels.
