Energy statistics, February 2019
In February, electricity generation (+5.5%), natural gas production (+1.0%) and crude oil production (+0.1%) increased, while coal production (-11.1%) declined compared with the same month in 2018. Over the same period, exports of crude oil and equivalent products increased, while exports of natural gas and electricity decreased.
Farm product prices, March 2019
Prices received by farmers in March for grains, oilseeds, specialty crops, cattle, hogs, poultry, eggs and dairy products are now available at the provincial level.
Asphalt roofing material, March 2019
Shipments of asphalt shingles totalled 4.0 million metric bundles in March, up 33.5% from the previous month. Compared with March 2018, shipments were 1.9% lower.
Sawmills, February 2019
Lumber production decreased by 9.6% from January to 4 658.1 thousand cubic metres in February. Production was 11.1% lower than in February 2018.
