Wholesale trade, September 2019
Wholesale trade rose 1.0% to $65.1 billion in September, almost entirely offsetting the 1.2% decline in August. Sales were up in five of seven subsectors, representing 82% of total wholesale sales.
Number and salaries of full-time teaching staff at Canadian universities (final), 2018/2019
There are increasing numbers of women among the full-time academic teaching staff at Canadian public universities and their presence is growing in senior administrative roles. At the same time, the professoriate is getting older.
Machinery and Equipment Price Index, third quarter 2019
The Machinery and Equipment Price Index (MEPI) decreased 1.2% in the third quarter, following a 0.4% rise in the second quarter. The import component was down 1.4% while the domestic component declined 0.7%.
Oilseed crushing statistics, October 2019
Oilseed processors crushed 882 301 tonnes of canola in October. Oil production totalled 382 839 tonnes, while meal production totalled 492 117 tonnes.
Milled wheat and wheat flour produced, October 2019
Millers milled 281 959 tonnes of wheat in October, while wheat flour production totalled 217 249 tonnes.
