Building permits, February 2017
Canadian municipalities issued $7.5 billion worth of building permits in February, down 2.5% from January. The national decrease was mainly the result of lower construction intentions for single-family dwellings and institutional structures.
Commercial Rents Services Price Index, fourth quarter 2016
The Commercial Rents Services Price Index increased 0.6% in the fourth quarter, following a 0.3% gain the previous quarter. The increase was mainly attributable to higher average rents for retail buildings.
