Monthly Survey of Manufacturing, June 2018
Manufacturing sales rose 1.1% to $58.1 billion in June, following a 1.5% increase in May. The increase in June was mainly due to sharply higher sales in the petroleum and coal product industry, while sales were down in the chemicals and food manufacturing industries.
Stocks of frozen and chilled meats, July 1, 2018
Stocks of frozen and chilled meats in cold storage totalled 128 927 tonnes as of July 1, down 14.2% from April 1.
Building construction price indexes, second quarter 2018
Construction prices for new residential buildings rose more than those for new non-residential buildings in the second quarter. According to the contractors surveyed, increases in new building construction costs were driven by higher lumber and steel prices, both of which have been affected by the tariffs imposed in the last few months.
